How to setup a program to split test language for always-on experiments

This setup will work equally as well with email, SMS, push and in-App always-on / trigger messages.

The easiest way to split test an always-on campaign in Responsys is to create four copies of the email you normally send to this audience. Phrasee's standard methodology for these experiments is to test five language variants at a time.


Once you have copied the email activity, open each one in the Email Message Designer and update the subject line in each to one of the Phrasee variants.

Use the Allocation switch to split the audience equally between the language variants.

Once testing is complete - usually a three- or four-week process - you can use the Allocation switch to send all recipients to the winning email and leave the program in place until testing language again. This allows you to use the same program for testing and normal sending of these campaigns.
