Testing Phrasee language in a Responsys SMS campaign

Updated over a week ago

While automated split testing is only possible with email campaigns, it is possible to test language on other channels with a bit of manual setup.

Ideally you will have setup a program like the below to deploy SMS campaigns. This type of program will allow you to adjust how many variants to test and select a winning variant based on open rate automatically at a time specified by you. This program can be reused by selecting different campaigns and adjusting the send times.

To be able to test language on SMS campaigns, you will need to create an SMS message for every language variant you want to test. Once you have all of your messages created, select them in the program's send SMS activities.

Using the allocation switch adjust the audience so a percentage is sent to each SMS campaign and the rest / bulk of your subscribers are directed to the wait activity.

The wait activity should be schedule to continue four hours by default after the program has been started.

After the elapsed four hours, the remaining subscribers are released to the performance switch.

The performance switch will send all of those subscribers to the campaign that has the best open rate.
